2016 Celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the release of Crowded House's classic, triple platinum album "Woodface". The album features 5 top ten hits, "Chocolate Cake", "It's Only Natural", "Four Seasons in One Day", "Fall at Your Feet" and of course, the now sing-a-long standard, "Weather with You".
To celebrate this landmark, Crowded Scouse performed the album in its entirety at venues and festivals up and down the country, starting with The Cavern Club, Liverpool on 7th July.
This was a unique event and a must see opportunity for all Crowdies fans to hear the entire album performed live for the first time since those early days.
Formed in 2001, Crowded Scouse have built up a strong reputation for recreating a stunning live sound and a great sense of fun!
Keysman Joe & Singer/guitarist Mark had been playing in bands together since their teens and had always been Crowded House fans, so it seemed a natural thing when they gave up playing their own material to begin playing acoustic nights as "Crowded Scouse".
They were soon joined by Big Al on guitars and continued as a trio until Vin (a self confessed Finnatic!) who had been to see the Scousers a couple of times, offered his services as Bass player."Oh and I know a drummer as well". Enter Shoeless MJ!
2016 drew to a close with Crowded House performing on the steps of of the Sydney Opera House, if you were there, congrats! If you weren't, dont panic, Crowded Scouse plan to recreate the "Farewell Again" concert at venues up and down the UK in 2017
See our Gig Dates page for info on a venue near you in 2017.
The great thing about the Scousers is, they are genuine Finn fans. It´s all about playing music they love for other fans. So there are no dodgy accents or wigs!
What you do get is great music, with a strong emphasis on fun and audience participation. And with the return of guitarist 'big Al Mac' the band are still going strong.
